II will write a blog comment.  It is a great  idea you are doing for Bethany.  My momentus 30th birthday was a few days before we drove a rental truck and our car from Provo to Plano.  I told Steve I didn't want to move before my 30th birthday, because it was a milestone for me.  We arrived in Plano the 2nd of October, 1980.  Bethany had barely turned 1 year old, right?  I didn't really get to know Bethany until you moved to Sherman.  Thanks for doing that.  She is a very special woman.

To a wonderful woman, friend and Mother.  Happy 30th birthday Bethany!   Your 30's are great!  In your 30's you know what you want, you are on the path to getting them and you can see the goal being achieved.  In your 30's you start to wish you had the body that you once had in your 20's, but then you think to yourself while looking in a mirror "if I look this good when I am 40, I will be HOT!".   Enjoy your 30's they are great...I should know I am almost out of them!  So sad.  Love you, Kara Foulk

Two day’s ago we found out that we are going to be blessed with another little girl.  You are such a great mom and I’m excited to get another little girl.  The funny thing will be seeing if you get this book or the new baby girl first!!!

Happy Birthday! The big 30. How does it feel? We just wanted you to know how much we love you. We remeber when we were dating and you guys lived in Cedar City. I remeber how beautiful your home was. Hooray, you get to join the 30-club!  No more goofing off--this grown-up stuff is serious business!!  I was so touched this year by what you did for my birthday and I think the best part was just being reminded that people love me.  That's what I want you to know as well.  You are an amazing person and an inspiration to me in so many ways.  I love your quiet strength and your unfailing ability to do what's right.  You are a wonderful mom and a great friend and I've loved the opportunities I've had to get to know you better this past year.  I hope you have an amazing birthday.

Happy birthday, Bethany!  I am so happy to know you and to count you among my friends!  The first time I met Danny was at the church one evening before you moved here.  Jeff was working on some business in the clerk's office and I was sitting with him, waiting.  Danny was attending a Danbury Ward activity and came by and introduced himself.  We liked him instantly.  He told us about your family's impending move to the Newtown Ward and said to me, "Wait until you meet my wife, Bethany.  She's awesome!"  We knew then that he was crazy about you and after we met you, we understood why.  You are an amazing woman, wife, mother, friend and daughter of God.  What a great example you are to me and to my girls—I marvel that you are so young!  We love your family and look forward to meeting your new little one.  Best wishes for a wonderful birthday and year ahead!

It is hard to believe that it has been about nine years since we met.  I was excited that we could be in the same ward after we were both married.  When we were in the same ward I clearly remember the wonderful Relief Society lessons that you taught.  Not only did I feel the spirit as you taught I also remember thinking, "she always looks so perfect!"  I was also impressed with how cute you decorated your first home.  You have a great sense of style!  I enjoyed the time that you came to visit us in Ohio. I am grateful that we are friends and that we are also family.  I look forward to seeing you again soon and all your darling children!  Have a wonderful 30th year!!

I also remember you saying that one of the things that made you love Danny was the way he treated his mom.  I really believe you are so in tune that you notice and embrace special things in others that most of us overlook.  What a great quality.  I have always loved Danny and knew he deserved the best.  Well, he got the best when he married you and you are an example to all of us of the way our Heavenly Father wants us to live.

The reason...

…for this blog is two fold:

 

1. the main reason is to have a blog where you (her friends and family) and I can write the neat and special things that we love about Bethany to be published in a book that she can have on this her special 30^th birthday September 2, 2009.  As I’m not a very experienced blogger, please do and say the things that will make this the best blog (like sending pictures, commenting often and forwarding it on the other that I may not have included). And, please send me suggestions if I’m not blogging right.
2. the second reason is to make an announcement.  I would love to take her on a trip for her 30^th birthday, but due to her condition (yes, we are very excited to be expecting and the due date is September 3^rd, the day after Bethany’s 30^th birthday) a trip will not be the best thing.  So I thought that this would be the second best thing.

 

So, I ask that you please help me make this book for her the best it possibly can be, as I know that you and I have been very blessed by this sweet woman.

 

Of, course I want to keep this a surprise for her so be sure not to let her know what is going on.
