My first realization that Bethany was grown up was at your wedding. We happened to be in Provo at the time and were in the tempe when you were married. Bethany looked all grown up, but when she pulled up her wedding dress hem, she had the cutest white and lacy flip-flops on her cute feet. I just laughed at her sense of fun and comfort!
A short time later, I learned you were moving to Sherman, a mere 60 miles north of us in Texas. That was when I really got to know Bethany. She was always so gracious with dinner invitations, allowing us to stay over night, etc. Her breakfast meals were always wonderful. And I learned lots about nutrition from Bethany.
It was an honor to come help Bethany pack up before you moved back east. She is one organized woman! But, we still miss you here in Texas. Sherman isn't the same without your family.
Happy 30th birthday, Bethany. You are an amazing woman!July 13, 2009 12:18 PM

Fwd: SHHHHH...Bethany's 30th B.day Surprise!!!!!
Bethany,
Happy 30th Birthday!!
From the first time I met you I knew you were someone very special. You have a truly unique gentleness about you that touches everyone that you meet. I have always been impressed at your positive attitude, warm smile and incredible kindness.
I will never forget the day that you invited Emma and I over for a play date and we were discussing how Brad and I met etc... when I mentioned the date/year of our first date. I immediately noticed your face drop and then you smiled sheepishly when you admitted that you had been born that same year. Wow, did I feel old!
I will also never forget one of the times you talked in church. I remember that the topic was missionary work and you shared with us how you carry pass along cards in your bag and that you make an effort to give them to people that you meet at the park, while shopping etc... I also know that when you were in our ward that you brought several of your friends to church. I appreciated your wonderful example.
Who could ever forget all of the love and kindness that you showed to Sebastian. I admired how you alway made a huge effort to help him get to church and other youth activities. What an incredible act of love and service.
Bethany, thanks for just being you. You are such an amazing person. Enjoy your 30th year and all of the joy that will come with getting older AND wiser!
Love, Suzanne Gibson
Happy Birthday!
Hi Bethany!
I know it seems unusual to have your Dixie Years remembered so fondly by us that are still here, but, it is so true! From the first minute I saw you and every time since then, in classes, activities and the whole college scene, I had wonderful, admiring thoughts of you. You are the very definition of charisma, and I still am so glad I know you. I know you are a fabulous mother and wife and are a mover and shaker in your ward and neighborhood. Plus, your adorablity factor is off the charts!
Happy Birthday, and know that I want to be more like you when I grow up!

Bethany,
Happiest of Birthdays to you. I remember the first time I heard of you was from Bishop Oakes, I had just been asked to be the Primary Pres and was working on picking my presidency, and Bishop said,"oh there's this new family and they are awesome - Bethany is the wife and I really think you should get to know her." --- What great council! You are are such a special lady - Everyone that meets you can just see it in you from the start. You have such a great positive attitude and are a great example to me of a Mother. You always keep pressing forward with a smile on your face. It was an honor to serve with you in Primary - I always knew whatever you were asked to do, would be done and done wonderfully! That was a special time. Now that we are both turning 30 - we can continue to grow "old" together :-) In closing - I think my favorite thing about you is you are REAL! You admit to faults but live with such grace and happiness and a desire to be the best you can be and I admire you so much. Happy Birthday. I'm glad you came into me and my family's life!

I just want Bethany to know that we think she is the sweetest, kindest person we know. She has been a great friend to us and to John and Brooke. She is always there when you need her. Bethany is also very thoughtful.
The cutest children and I just love them, they are my adopted grandkids. The looks must of come from Bethany....

You just know that Bethany loves the Lord, she is such a good example to me and others. Her parents can be so proud of her. It is a pleasure to count her as a friend of ours.
I commend her for sticking to her dicision of not living in Orderville. It isn't a typical one stop light town, it is a no stop light town.
We love you and count you as one of our blessings> Jim and June Rodgerson

Bethany,
Happy birthday!!!! Since I moved into the ward, you have always been so sweet, so caring, and so ready to help anyone with anything. You are such a wonderful mother to your little crew, and it shows in everything you do. You are patient and kind and want what is best for them.
Here's to 30 fabulous years, and here's to many, many more to come.
Happy Birthday, Bethany!!
